Cardy Dungeoneering (Prototype)
A downloadable game for Android
~ A prototype game created by a squad of 4 students.
Venture through each floor, gathering treasures and fighting monsters as you go. Using weapons, potions, and other resources, kill all the enemies on the floor before proceeding to the next. Clear the 5th floor to achieve victory.
Controls & Details:
- Movement - Swipe Up/Down/Left/Right
- Sword Icon (Bottom-right) - Tap to toggle Stats Display
- Chest Icon (Bottom-right) - Tap to toggle Inventory
- Tap an item card to select; Tap use to replace current stats or recieve a buff
- Up to 10 cards can be carried at a time
- Tap off of card to cancel selection
- Stats - Determines the player's performace in combat
- HP - Health Points (Player loses if it drops to zero)
- ARMOR - Protects and prevents damage from bleeding over to HP
- ATT - Damage output per attack
- DEF - Reduces incoming damage
- HIT - Number attacks performed per turn
- CRIT - Chance for a 2x damage multiplier
- PIERCE - Buff to ignore target's ARMOR
- SHARP - Buff to 2x damage on HP
- HEAVY - Buff to 2x damage on ARMOR
Exploration & Combat:
- When exploring, the player can move by swiping the screen; Move into a ? tile to reveal the tile's contents
- If empty, continue exploring normally
- If stairs, you may proceed to the next floor (if all enemies on the floor are dead)
- If chest, you recieve a new card in your inventory (If there's enough space)
- If an enemy, go into Combat Mode
- Either you or the enemy will die; there's no retreating
- Colored indicator around player/enemy frame show's who's turn it is
- Yellow for Player Turn, Red for Enemy Turn
- Tap the center of the screen to attack during your turn
- If alive, the enemy attacks according to it's ATT
- If you survive, a new card is added to your inventory
- If you die, you lose
Known Issues:
- Stats & inventory don't transfer correctly between floors if the "NEXT FLOOR" button is used instead of moving to the stairs.
- Upon player's first attack on their turn, it changes to the enemy's turn. If the player has a high HIT count (>5), the enemy will attack during the player's attacks.
- Certain aspects in the game don't scale well according to the screen ratio
